Hello Everyone

The children book that I really like is The Tortoise and the Hare. As you know this a classic Aesop’s fable. I enjoy reading it to my children when they were young and now I read it to my grandchildren. The story tells of a fast hare who challenges a slow tortoise to a race. The Tortoise wins the race because of his persistence. This story has so many lessons about life.

The race is not given to the swift but to him that endures.

Those who rush my under estimate those who are slow and steady.

Even if you are slow at what you do if your heart is in it you can prevail.

The race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong    (Ecclesiastes 9:11 James Bible)

The song “The Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston fuels my passion for children and the Early Childhood Field.  It stirs the excitement, and passion that we should have in teacher the future generation to believe in themselves.

  1. I love that book. It teaches children that just because someone is faster than them, faster doesn't necessarily mean better. Some kids are slow test takers but that doesn't mean they don't know the answers. They are often the ones who do the best on the test. Impulsiveness isn't always a good thing, truly taking your time and thinking things through can get you far!
