Relationships are a vibrant part to our
wellbeing they add purpose to our life. Good relationships contributes to us
living longer and healthy lives. The relationships we have helps to define who
we are.
My
relationship with God has impacted my life the most. Through this relationship I have learn the
meaning of love and how to appreciate life. I found freedom, strength,
forgiveness and value. Having a relationship with God I have become a better
wife, mother, sister, and friend.
The next
important relationship is with my husband who is my best friend. I have learn
how to love, respect and cherish every moment we spend together. He is always
there doing all he can to make things better for me. He is my greatest
supporter. We have learn that giving is so much more rewarding than receiving.
Then there
is the relationship I have with my four children God has blessed me to have. In
this relationship I have learn to be patient, to listen and understanding. I
enjoy when we get together for family night. We have dinner and play games and
sometime we spend the evening talking and laughing about events of the past we
also talk about events that have made us sad as well. We share advice.
The
relationship I have with my four grandchildren is out of this world. They bring
so much noise and joy when they visit. In this relationship I learn to have
fun. I look at them and I see the future
doctors, lawyers or whoever they want to be.
It is the
things that the above relationships bring to my live that makes me who I am.
They assist in equipping me for other relationships. These very important
relationships has help me to grow in my ability to relate and form a
relationship with others. Even in forming relationships with children and their
families when you spend time and communicate with them you learn a lot about
them and you get to form a relationship with them. Sometime all people need to
know is that someone cares about them.
Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteYes, Barbara I believe to that in having well grounded healthy relationships do help us live longer and have happier lives. I know some people that only have their animals in their personal lives and are very happy. They give their animals love and receive love back from seeing their animals healthy and happy.
Nice Post
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteIt seems that your relationships continue to progress through your lifetime and that is a wonderful experience. It definitely helps with finding yourself and developing into the person you are today. I also believe that "Good relationships contributes to us living longer and healthy lives," like you stated. Positive relationships provide so many positive aspects to life itself. Although some situations in relationships with people are negative, they give us opportunity to learn and grow from it. We all have to have an understanding of others to form these successful relationships. I really enjoyed reading your post, thank You for sharing your experiences.
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteYou make a great point with you discussed God and your relationships. God truly is the reason that I have the relationships that are important to me today. My husband is the relationship that I value the most and he was put in my life for a reason when I met him and that was because of God. I also agree that the good relationships we are able to have allows us to be the person we are today.
I most certainly agree with you Barbara the most positive relationship is the one we have with God. I to believe it will help you have a better relationship with others that are apart of your circle. Great post thanks for sharing!!

ReplyDeleteBarbara,
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is Amen. God is the most important relationship anyone could have in their lives. He is the reason I wake up every morning and he is the reason I am able to be back in school. He is my strength and my provider, my healer and my best friend. He is always there when no one else is around. I can talk to him anytime I do not have to wait for him to call me back, he is available 24/7. My daughter is the next important relationship in my life. She has taught me a lot. I love her and she loves me. She taught me about love. It was good reading your blog and thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed reading your blog this week, the information that you shared gives the reader incite into your life and the important relationships of your life. I have to mention that I noticed your mention of God within your essay about relationships. I see that your relationship with God is the largest and strongest relationship.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, I too believe that a relationship with God is a foundation for every relationship we have. It teaches us how to treat others, love them and respect them. I'm glad that you mention this relationship because it is the most important one.
ReplyDeleteI also used a quote from Mr. Rogers. I can remember watching Mr. Roger's Neighborhood on TV as a kid. I also remember his kind, gentle face. I think it's great that you have such a great relationship with your grandchildren. I also had a wonderful relationship with my Grandmother, who just passed away this past year. One thing that I am very thankful for, is the relationship that my mom and daughter have. There is nothing like having a Grandparent in your life.
