When I Think of Research..........


Over the last several weeks this course has helped me to gain many insights into early childhood research. I have gain much respect for the many researcher who research issues that is so vital to the betterment of life. I have learned how research is develop. It starts with a topic, than a subtopic than to a specific question. Through this course I have gain understanding of the different designs of research, knowledge of the ethical values and principles researchers must maintain in order to demonstrate professional standards, and method to collect and gather information.

I had to read the assignments many time to get an understanding of the information begin shared and many times I was not sure I understood the information correctly. I would like to thank all my colleagues for their support, comments and encouraging words throughout this course.

Research is a part of our everyday life. Before this class I never considered what research consist of and the dedication of the people who does it every day. I appreciated the efforts and success of all researchers of the past, the present, and the future thanks to their hard work and commitment to their research lives are effected in varies ways.  .

Thanks to all my colleagues for their support, comments and encouraging words throughout this course. Thank you so much and God bless you all.

  1. Barbara I too have gained respect for research and I see the need to spend more time researching the field of early childhood education. I agree that research is a part of everyday life and something we can all benefit from. I wish you much success as you progress on.

  2. Barbara you are surely correct this course does give you a sense of gratefulness to researchers. I never realized how much actually goes into conducting and publishing research. I would have never been cognition of the practices valid research goes through without this course. I think in this profession it is imperative that the information given is accurately recorded.

    I also gained respect for the researchers in our field. They have a tough job but do it beautifully. Like you, it was hard at times to understand the concepts we were learning about in class. Thank you for being a support to me in helping me understand and clarify any confusions. After this class, do you foresee yourself doing any research studies? I believe this course gave us the tools we need if we ever considered it.
