I have
discovered that having support in your life will assist in having a more
productive life. However everyone does not have strong support so I concern
myself as being highly blessed. The Word of God gives me the support I need to
function every day. It reminds me who I am, who I belongs to and the fact that
I have a purpose in life. With this in mind I know I am an overcomer.
My next
source of support is my husband who is my best friend. He is my shoulder to cry
on. He listens to me vent about my day. He works full time and yet he has
dinner ready every night I come home. He always encourage me when I feel
defeated and reminds me of my first source of support the Word of God.
There is a group of ladies where I work who call themselves the Crew. They support me by doing their job with the most excellence altitudes. We are all supportive of each other. I thank these ladies all the time for their support and encouragement.

The supports that I have in my life assist me
in overcoming obstacles that arise in my life. I support others in the ways
that others are supports for me. The supports in my life are very important to
me and they help me to succeed in becoming and doing what have been predestined
for me to be and do.
The
challenge that I can think of is being in a wheelchair and the place I want to
go is not wheelchair accessible. I thought of this because before my father
passed he stop walking. The only way my sisters and I could get him from one
place to another was in a wheelchair and many time this was very hard on my
father as well as my sisters and me. I thank God for my husband who was a
trooper during this time. We had to lift my father down and up the stairs to
get him in and out of the house while waiting for a ramp to be build. So I can
image the frustration of a person in a wheelchair when their environment does
not support them and they cannot get to where they desire to go because of
limitations in their environment.
"I have discovered that having support in your life will assist in having a more productive life." This statement is so true! I having people around to help out really makes a difference. It is nice to see that you have a good group of co-workers. Often times we spend more hours a day with our co-workers than we do with our spouses and children. Having good relationships at work really helps make the day go smoothly!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you. Jehovah God is my rock. I can go to him with any type of problem or concern and feel comfort in knowing I will be helped with the outcome that he feels best for me. Also in my work place I am very close to the lady that does all our cooking. Not just because of her cooking, which is good, but for the way she view life in general. She has such a humble spirit, and she can calm down any situation that might occur between staff or even the children with a soft voice. She is someone great to be around, and learn from.
I agree, so many people find support in their religious beliefs, it has supported people through so many good and bads in life. I also depend heavily on my co-workers as support, they know exactly what it is like to be you and can be so supportive with stressful work situations as well as home life. I think we all forgot to point out that we are our own greatest support as well, the fact that we get up and keep going everyday despite life, we can look back on the bad times and say "I survived that and I will survive this"
ReplyDeleteVery well stated without the support from God foremost we would not be here today and so many of us forget where to put our trust in including myself at time. I also agree that family support is very vital to our success in life we need at least one person who is willing to be there for you even when you do not always on the same page. Finally have team support at work really helps you create and learning environment your students and a positive one for you to work in as well Great Post!!!
ReplyDeleteBarbara it is nice to see that you have so many supports in your life. It is nice to hear that you too have a very supportive husband. Many folks today don't have that. Having support in your life is a wonderful thing and something that will help you to succeed in life.
ReplyDeleteHello Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThe almighty trust in faith and family is essential to daily living. Without God, a person cannot overcome obstacle, treat every kind with love and compassion. The love of Christ goes deeper within our soul. If we choose to live our life without that powerful connection; the support system would be powerless.

Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post on supports. It seems like you have such wonderful support around you that it provides you with many positive experiences in your life. Your explanation of the wheelchair was a great example of a challenge in someones life. We never think about things that do not involve ourselves so it is important to put ourselves in others shoes to understand their point of view and lifestyles. Although we may never know exactly how they live, we can still try to understand.
Great post and thank you for the great examples!
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to see that you have a wonderful support system. It was nice reading your post and seeing how your husband supports you. You are truly blessed. There are a lot of single families in the world and it is always good to read or hear how a married couple is working together. I grew up in a 2 parent home, my parents have been married for over 50 years and I have personally witnessesd how they support each other.
