I am waiting for responses from the professionals I have e-mailed.

Expanding Resources

As I explored the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE) web-site I found that its members are people from all across the United States and other countries. They have come together because of their interest in Early Childhood Teacher education. The NAECTE foundation was formed in 1998. It is a 501 (c) tax-exempt organization that raise funds for the benefit of early childhood teacher educators and the children and communities they serve.

One of the goals of this organization is Advocacy. It has created the NAECTE Foundation Advocacy Award to recognize members who has demonstrated their effectiveness as advocates for programs and policies that support quality programming for young children. This award comes with a $500 honorarium.

Another goal of the NAECTE is to promote and support research project related to early childhood teacher education. Many member of the NAECTE have develop their capacities as researchers by presenting at NAECTE conferences and writing for its journal.

The next goal of the NAECTE Foundation is to provide scholarships of $1,000 to doctoral students to support collection of data and completion of the dissertation.

Many of the members of NAECTE has published books on subjects such as Neuroscience, Global migration, Childhood in a digital world just to name a few.

  1. Hello Barbara,
    I find your information very informative on the organization NAECTE and I am excited to find out more on what services they provide and how this organization can help to better our field. Since so many cuts are happening in many states across the country it is reassuring to find a program that offers support to someone supporting quality programming is a good thing.

  3. Hi Barbara;

    I am waiting for responses as well. However the other resource you chose to explore “The National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE) has a focus on children in a digital world is great to have an insight on. We see so many children learning in this digital world and never being taught how to write a letter by hand or cursive handwriting which I believe is always a personal touch to any person.
